Route Description for Malton and Swinton Walk
While it might not be filled with the most exciting terrain or breathtaking highlights, the Malton and Swinton Walk is a lovely trail that will provide you with a nice mixture of city walkways and countryside paths that offer some pleasant views of the Howardian Hills.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the northwest to leave the market town of Malton behind, eventually making your way across a footbridge over the road to traverse the open fields that will bring you first through the village of Broughton and then onto Swinton. Take some time to appreciate the views of the surrounding landscape as you traverse this beautiful stretch of countryside.
After making your way through the village of Swinton, you will head back towards the east and once again pass through Broughton, continuing on to the east until you reach Outgang Road. From here, you will turn to the south and explore the streets of Malton, as you work your way back to the trailhead where you began.
