Route Description for Terminator Peak
Hiking along the trail to Terminator Peak is a fairly quick experience that will allow hikers to take in some tremendous views overlooking the city of Golden and the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort. Setting out from the top of the Golden Eagle Express Gondola, the trail heads to the southeast and climbs over the Super Bowl Saddle before breaking off to the north towards the summit. You will be hiking above the secured climbing route at the resort known as the Via Ferrata along this portion of the trail.
After a brief and easy scramble along the ridge, you will arrive at the summit and have fantastic views over the Columbia Valley. This hike is a great way to explore the Kicking Horse Resort trails and can be combined with other short trails in the area for a fun day of hiking in the mountains.
