Route Description for North Star Trail
Hiking along the North Star Trail is a fun outdoor experience that will allow you to enjoy the natural beauty of the woodland landscape of the Golden area. This route follows a relaxing path through the forest that leads past all four of the Cedar Lakes and into the middle of the recreation site. Here, hikers will find a stretch of wetland landscape that will offer the chance to spot local wildlife species depending on the time of year. Reaching the end of the trail, hikers will need to head back along the same path and carefully navigate the intricate web of intersecting trails so as not to get lost on their return to the trailhead.
