Route Description for Upper Two Medicine Lake Trail
Upper Two Medicine Trail is a hike full of incredible sights and wild animals like the famous moose. Start your hike through an area full of thimbleberries, ferns and huckleberries as you get closer to Pumpelly Pillar. 1.6 km from the trailhead, cross the small creek and on the other side, you will see Twin’s Falls in the distance. Continue hiking straight, and at 2.4 km, you will emerge from a dense forest and come into a clearing of wildflowers and thimbleberry patches.
It is here that you will look for the large rock formation that gives you fascinating views of all of Upper Medicine Valley. This trail is an out and back, so head back the way you came.

Getting to the Upper Two Medicine Lake Trail Trailhead
To get to Upper Two Medicine Trail, head West on Midvale Street towards MT-49 North. Turn right at the first cross street to continue on MT-49 North. In 3.5mi, turn left onto Two Medicine Road. Take your first left, and then your first right and arrive at your destination.Route Information
