Route Description for Numa Ridge Lookout Trail
The Numa Ridge Lookout Trail is a remote hike that entices hikers who are looking for a true wilderness experience. The trail begins at the foot of Bowman Lake, and you can see countless peaks and mountains in the distance, with the most prominent being Rainbow Peak, North and South Cerulean Peaks and Square Peak. You will also see Thunderbird mountain on the horizon.
Continue following the route until you reach Numa Ridge Lookout Trail and take in the captivating views of the valleys below. When you are finished, return the way you came as this is an out and back trail.

Getting to the Numa Ridge Lookout Trail Trailhead
To get to Numa Ridge Lookout Trail from West Glacier, head northwest on the Going-to-the-Sun Road and after 2.0mi turn left at Camas Road. After 11.7mi, turn right onto the dirt road called North Fork Road and follow this for 12.9mi. When you reach Polebridge Loop, turn right and drive for 1.0mi and then take a left onto Glacier Drive. Continue for 4.0mi and turn left at North Fork Road. At 0.2mi, turn right onto Bowman Lake Road. Drive for 5.5mi and you will reach the parking area.Route Information
