Route Description for Bullhead Lake Hike
The hike through Bullhead Lake trail in Glacier National Park is a family-friendly trek that begins at the far end of the parking lot at the Swiftcurrent Motor Inn. Early on in your hike, about 0.5 km in, you will come across a side trail that leads to the beautiful Fishercap Lake that is often missed by hikers and is a great place to spot a moose.
Continuing on at 2.7 km, you will arrive at Redrock Lake, which is surrounded by Mount Grinnell towering over Redrock Falls, and you will have amazing views of Swiftcurrent Glacier. You can continue on to explore the lower parts of the falls and take in more views of the mountains and glacier, and when you have finished, you can turn around and head back the way you came.
Getting to the Bullhead Lake Hike Trailhead
To get to Bullhead Lake Trailhead from the community of Babb, the gateway to the Many Glacier area of Glacier National Park, head east towards US-89 South and turn right. When you arrive at Route 3, turn right and head for the Many Glacier entrance. Once past the entrance, continue on Route 3 for 4.8mi until you reach Swiftcurrent Motor Inn parking lot on your right.Route Information
