Route Description for Moose Meadows Hike
Reconnect with nature as you meander the Moose Meadows Trail. This hike is ideal for families and novice hikers alike, or those simply seeking a relaxing adventure. Travel through the mixed ponderosa pine as aspen woodlands and through the grassy plains dotted with wild flowers. Enjoy the picturesque scenery and notice Kreuger Rock towering above. Note this trail is almost entirely exposed, so be sure to check the forecast prior to setting out on your adventure.
Begin your adventure from the Granite Gulch Campground. Take the route signposted for Moose Meadows. Traverse the grassy plains and appreciate the expansive mountain vistas. Trek along the mild undulations as the trail gently climbs below tree coverage. At the junction, continue along the Moose Meadows Trail until the path’s end. When you meet the trail’s end, turn around and at the junction, veer left onto the Limber Pine Trail. This route will guide you through the forestland and down to the Kruger Equestrian Campground.
Follow the loop as it curves you back to the Granite Ridge Campground.
