Route Description for Liumchen Lake Trail
Hiking up to Liumchen Lake is a fun outdoor experience that will take you through stretches of dense forest and beautiful meadows on the way to the calm waters of the lake. Located in the Liumchen Ecological Reserve along the Canada-United States border, this lightly-trafficked 9.2 km route isn’t overly difficult but provides some amazingly scenic views. The road to the trailhead is a bit rough and will require a 4x4/high clearance vehicle. Once you do get onto the trail it is nothing short of an awesome experience.
The route climbs steeply uphill through the beautiful terrain and offers nice views of the mountain off in the distance. Once you reach Liumchen Lake, you can sit around the water’s edge and take in the tranquil atmosphere of its wooded shores. This is a great trail for both casual and experienced hikers alike.
