Route Description for Silver Spring Lakes
Hiking to Silver Spring Lakes is the perfect way to spend a hot summer day in the Fernie area. This easy-to-navigate trail sets out through a beautiful stretch of forest before the terrain opens up into a scenic valley surrounded by steep hills on either side and dramatic cliff faces. These cliffs are a popular destination for plenty of adventurers that choose to dive off the edge and into the refreshing waters below. The trail passes beyond the first lake and continues to a second nestled right in the elbow of the valley. While the route ends here, those that want to extend their hike can by continuing a bit farther to reach another two scenic (albeit smaller) lakes. After taking in the beautiful views of these hidden lakes and going for a quick dip, make your way back along the same trail to return to the trailhead.
