Route Description for Elwill Bay Coastal Path and Trentishoe Down Walk
Although there are a number of climbs and descents, as well steep drop offs along the Elwill Bay Coastal Path and Trentishoe Down Walk, it is a spectacular route that will allow you to fully appreciate the natural beauty of Exmoor along the coast. Setting out from the car park, you will head to the northeast and walk along a cliff face that features a steep drop off, but also spectacular views of the Bristol Channel. From here, you will turn inland and pass by the Trentishoe Church before descending into the forested valley to walk along the edge of the water. Continue to the southwest, as you traverse the undulating forest terrain of the valley, eventually climbing up the steep hillside for a rugged return to the car park across the moor.

To reach the trailhead for the Elwill Bay Coastal Path and Trentishoe Down Walk from Trentishoe, head south on Trentishoe Lane for 1.4mi and turn right to enter the car park.Route Information
