Route Description for Hard Luck Canyon Loop
The Hard Luck Canyon Loop Trail is a short and surprisingly stunning trail outside of Whitecourt. The route is less than one kilometer, but is full of memorable views. From the parking lot, you can enjoy some picnic areas, a beautiful viewpoint and some informative signs. Follow the stair set into the canyon, and stay along the well marked trail. The trail leads to an impressive waterfall with an extremely photogenic bridge atop the falls. Bring your camera—there are plenty of photo opportunities here!

Getting to the Hard Luck Canyon Loop Trail from Whitecourt is roughly 20 minutes by car. Take Mountain Road southbound from Whitecourt, joining Range Road 122. Turn right onto Township Road 591, taking a slight left onto Range Road 124A, continuing to Range Road 125 which becomes Range Road 125A. Continue onto Range Road 130 which turns slightly left and becomes Range Road 125A. Your destination will be on the right in 2789ft.Route Information
