Route Description for Wasa Lake Campground Loop
Hiking the Wasa Lake Campground Loop is a short and fun outdoor activity that will allow you to experience the natural beauty of the valley landscape surrounding Wasa, all while meandering through a tranquil forest atmosphere. Setting out from the campground, follow the trail to the east as it leads directly into the dense forest cover. Head left at the junction in the trail to begin the loop portion of the hike in a clockwise direction, climbing up the gentle slope that will eventually lead you to the highest point of the trail. Once there, you will be able to take in the amazing views that sweep across the valley and feature the Purcell Mountains off in the distance, with the calm waters of Wasa Lake right in front of you. Continue heading around the loop until you reach the initial junction in the trail and follow it to the left to return to the trailhead at the campground.
Getting to the Wasa Lake Campground Loop Trailhead
To get to the Wasa Lake Campground Loop from the BC-95 highway in Wasa, turn off the highway onto Wasa Lake Park Drive and continue for 0.9mi. Turn right to stay on the road and follow it for another 2461ft. Make a left turn and you will find the parking area on the right side.Route Information
