Route Description for Poland Lake Trail
The Poland Lake Trail is a great intermediate length hike that will allow you to explore the natural beauty of E.C. Manning Provincial Park without having to trek along the physically demanding multi-day routes that can be found within the region. This trail has a moderate elevation gain of 665 m, but this is spread out along the length of the route, making for a steady uphill climb that is inviting for hikers of most skill levels.
Along the trail you will pass through sections of subalpine meadow with beautiful wildflowers and experience the rugged beauty of nearby mountain peaks. Once you reach Poland Lake, you’ll have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim before setting up camp or heading back down the trail to your car. This is an awesome hike that is definitely worth a try if you are in the area.
