Thanks to a fairly large elevation gain of 751 m, the South West Coast Path: Sidmouth to Seaton is a physically strenuous route that is popular with long distance walkers and those looking to challenge themselves while taking in stunning coastal views. Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the east and cross over the River Sid, climbing up the steep hillside to traverse the rugged coastal cliffside. Take some time to appreciate the gorgeous views across the English Channel, as you make your way across the undulating terrain that will be sure to get your heartrate up! After passing several charming beaches and the wonderfully scenic point at Beer Head, the trail will turn to the north to bring you to the terminus of the route in Seaton.

To get to the South West Coast Path: Sidmouth to Seaton trailhead from Sidford, head to the southwest for 1.6mi along Sidford Road and take the first exit at the roundabout to get onto High Street. Follow this for 466ft and turn left onto Holmdale, continuing on for another 387ft. From here, turn right onto Riverside and follow it for 295ft before making a left onto York Street. You will arrive at the car park in 430ft.Route Information
