The Galmpton Creek to Greenway Gardens Walk is a popular Devon excursion for those walkers that enjoy local history and relaxing riverside settings. From the starting point on Kiln Road, follow the road to the southwest and pick up the footpath, following it past the cottages and along the water’s edge to reach Galmpton Mill. From here, you will continue climbing uphill while enjoying the beautiful views of the River Dart, eventually looping around the historic grounds and gardens of Greenway House. Take your time on this loop portion of the trail to appreciate the beauty of the place that Agatha Christie referred to as “the loveliest place in the world”. After making your way around the grounds, simply follow the trail back along the banks of the River Dart to return to the trailhead.
