Route Description for Dawlish to Teignmouth Walk
If slightly challenging terrain and breathtaking seaside views are the goal of your walk, then the Dawlish to Teignmouth Walk is the perfect route for your next adventure. Setting out from the trailhead at the southern end of Dawlish, you will initially make your way west before turning to the south on an uphill climb towards Teignmouth. Once there, you will descend the hillside and turn to the northeast, following along the rugged terrain of the coast as you work your way along the water’s edge. Enjoy the stunning views that stretch across the English Channel, as you make your way across the undulating terrain that will bring you back to the trailhead.
Getting to the Dawlish to Teignmouth Walk Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for the Dawlish to Teignmouth Walk from the Dawlish rail station, head south on Station Road for 380ft and continue straight on Teignmouth Hill/A379 for 0.7mi. Make a right on South Downs Road and you will reach the starting point in 285ft.Route Information
