Route Description for Owl Trail
The Owl Hike is a lovely trail nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of the busy city. Perfect for lunchtime office escape or a quick meander to stretch your legs, the Owl Trail is a great option. Located within the Park, visitors are required to pay a $10USD entrance fee. Though this fee may seem steep for a quick walk, the beauty of the park is that there are dozens of connecting trails, so you can customize your hike to your liking and spend the whole day there!
Your journey along the Owl Trail begins at the trailhead. From here, track west along the Owl Trail. Shortly after your departure from the trailhead you will intersect with a road before the path delivers you to the creek. Enjoy the ambiance of the running waters as you trek along the curves of Bear Creek. Revel in the sights and the fresh smell of the towering pine trees and you will eventually meet the trail’s end.
If you are seeking a longer adventure, consider trekking the Fitness Trail up to Bear Creek Lake’s shoreline. If you have had enough, simply retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
