Route Description for Ten Tors Circular Walk
Walking the Ten Tors Circular Trail is a wonderful way for walkers of nearly every skill level to experience the rugged beauty of Dartmoor National Park. Keep in mind that there will be a number of elevation gains and losses along the route, which may not be suitable for younger children or less-mobile walkers. Setting out from the trailhead, you will initially head to the northeast before beginning the loop portion of the walk. Here, you will take the path on the left and continue across the undulating terrain to the northeast, traversing the summits of the Arms, Great Links, Higher Dunnagoat, Green, Lower Dunnagoat, Chat, Sharp, Hare, Doe, and Bray tors. While it may seem like a lot of work, the beautiful views that sweep across the moor will keep you distracted and you will find yourself back at the car park in no time.
