Route Description for Rippon Tor and Pil Tor Walk
The Rippon Tor and Pil Tor Walk is a great route if you are looking to bag a few tors and gain some scenic views of Dartmoor National Park without encountering too much in the way of difficult or technical terrain. The trail will see you head south and immediately climb up the hillside to reach the summit of Rippon Tor, where you will have some nice views looking out to Saddle Tor and Haytor to the northeast. From here, you will make your way southwest to descend the hillside, before climbing uphill once again along Pil Tor. From here, it is a straight shot to the east along the road to return to the car park.

To reach the trailhead for the Rippon Tor and Pil Tor Walk from Haytor Vale, head southwest along B3387 for 1.4mi and turn right to enter the car park.Route Information
