Although the route leading up to Little Mis Tor and Great Mis Tor is a stone track, it features a fairly steady climb uphill that might not be suitable for less-mobile travellers. Wear comfortable footwear for this adventure. Additionally, the route borders the southern edge of the MOD Merrivale Range, a swathe of Dartmoor that is leased out to the military for training exercises. Obey any signs in the area and remain aware of your surroundings.

Setting out from the car park, you will first need to head to the north to cross over the road in order to pick up the stone track. From here, you will gradually climb up the hillside to the north, eventually arriving at the summit of Little Mis Tor. Take some time to appreciate the beautiful views of the surrounding moorland terrain before continuing along the trail to reach the summit of Great Mis Tor. More of the same views await here - albeit from a higher elevation - and you will also have the chance to explore the rocky vantage point atop the hill. After taking in the views, retrace your steps along the same trail to return to the car park where you began your adventure.
