Route Description for Leather Tor via Merrivale Car Park Walk
The Leather Tor via Merrivale Car Park Walk is a fun trail across the moor that will provide some stunning views, but also a good bit of exercise as you traverse the rugged terrain of the moor. Setting out from the car park, you will make your way south along the abandoned tramway to traverse the surrounding moorland terrain, eventually passing through the Foggintor and Sweltor quarries. From here, you will continue south to skirt around Leeden Tor and cross over B3212, where you will begin the climb uphill to the summits of Sharpitor and Leather Tor. After taking in the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape, head back along the same trail for the return leg of the walk.

To reach the trailhead for the Leather Tor via Merrivale Car Park Walk from Princetown, head northwest on Tavistock Road for 1.4mi and turn left onto B3357. You will find the car park on the left in 0.6mi.Route Information
