Les Etangs des Briesses Hike is a wonderful adventure in Crans Montana that will take you out into nature, while only being a short walk from the resort. A serene woodland atmosphere and lakeside setting make this easy-going walk a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.
Route Description for Les Etangs des Briesses Hike
Setting out from the bus stop in Les Briesses, you will follow the route of an irrigation bisse from the old days. Making your way around the ridge, you will follow the path to arrive at a shady area with some wetland terrain. You will then continue on to Lac des Mirouges, before returning through the forest to your starting point.
Getting to the Les Etangs des Briesses Hike Trailhead
To reach les Briesses by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 1640ft, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you have arrived in Briesses, follow the signs to the pic-nic area of les Briesses, which is on the left-hand side of the Route Cantonale going up.Route Information
