Route Description for Cry d’Er, Pépinet, and Mt Lachaux Hike
After taking the cable car up to the Cry d’Er CLub d’Altitude, the Cry d'Er, Pépinet, and Mt Lachaux Hike will take you on a descent of the mountainside that eventually leads to the Cabane des Violettes, offering scenic mountain views in the process. From here, the trail will bend back to the southwest, traversing the mountainside and gradually descending until you arrive back at the cable car station in Crans Montana where you began.
Getting to the Cry d’Er, Pépinet, and Mt Lachaux Hike Trailhead
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 1640ft, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive in Crans-Montana, follow the signposts to reach the cablecars and the carpark of Crans-Cry d'Er.Route Information
