Hiking the Seal Bay Beach Loop is the perfect family-friendly adventure in Courtenay, BC that will produce some spectacular views of the coastal landscape for a minimal amount of effort. Setting out from the trailhead, hikers can explore the winding pathways through the beautiful rainforest setting within the Seal Bay Nature Park before arriving at the beach. From here, you will have a great sightline with Seal Bay in the forefront, the blue waters of the Georgia Strait in the middle ground, and the rugged expanse of the mainland in the backdrop. After spending some time by the water and taking in the amazing views, continue along the forested loop to immerse yourself into the wild before eventually ending up back at the trailhead where you began.
Getting to the Seal Bay Beach Loop Trailhead
To reach the trailhead for the Seal Bay Beach Loop from Courtenay, drive northeast on Ryan Road for 2.9mi and turn left onto Anderton Road. After 0.9mi, turn left to continue along the road for 0.8mi. Continue straight onto Waveland Road for 1.4mi and make a right to continue for another 984ft. Turn left onto Bates Road, where after 0.7mi you will find the trailhead on the right.Route Information
