Route Description for Bradford-on-Avon Canal Walk
The Bradford-on-Avon Canal Walk is an easy family-friendly walk that begins in the beautiful Cotswolds Market town of Bradford-on-Avon. The path leaves town between the Kennet & Avon Canal and the beautiful River Avon. The walk passes by the incredible Avoncliff Aqueduct which is an impressive historic structure that carries the canal over the river.
From the Aqueduct, this walk continues along the towpath and follows the canal through scenic woods and countryside. After you’ve passed the Conkwell Wood, you’ll cross the Dundas Aqueduct to the turn-around point at the Angelfish Café. Stop for some refreshments or turn around and start the walk back to beautiful Bradford-on-Avon.

To get to the Bradford-on-Avon Canal Walk you can park in the town and then walk along Frome Rd to the junction with Kennet Gardens. You’ll find the start of the path from Frome Road between the Canal Tavern and the Lock Inn.Route Information
