Route Description for West Pentire Peninsula and Polly Joke Beach Walk
If the aim of your walk is to take in the natural beauty of the Cornish Coast while exploring sandy beaches and secluded coves, then the West Pentire Peninsula and Polly Joke Beach Walk is a great option for you to get out and experience Cornwall.
Setting out from the car park, you will head to the northwest and skirt around the edge of West Pentire village, before arriving at the water’s edge. From here, you will continue on to the northwest in order to traverse the scenic landscape of the West Pentire Peninsula. As you make your way around the headland, you will enjoy some stunning views looking out onto the Cornish Sea.
After rounding the point, you will make your way to the southwest along the edge of Porth Joke, where you will enjoy some calming views across the sandy expanse of Polly Joke Beach. Once you have passed by the beach, the trail will turn to the southeast along a stream, before completing the final leg of the walk in a northward direction that will bring you back to the car park.
