If you are looking to clear your mind with a relaxing walk through the forest, all while taking in views of a peaceful river, then the St Mawgan Woods Walk is the perfect route for you. Featuring a fairly short overall distance and a lovely first atmosphere, this walk is perfectly suited for a wide range of outdoor enthusiasts.
Setting out from the car park, you will enter into the cover of Carnanton Woods and make your way to the southeast, taking some time to appreciate the tranquil nature of your forest surroundings. As you make your way through the forest, you will follow a path that runs parallel to the River Menalhyl, adding another pleasant element to this already scenic adventure.
As you approach the southernmost point of the route, you will climb uphill slightly to reach the terminus of the walk near a few clearings in the forest. From here, you will turn back and retrace your steps along the trail, reliving the calming riverside setting as you work your way back to the car park where you began your adventure. Don’t forget to pop into The Falcon Inn to refuel after your fun journey through the forest!
