Walking the South West Coast Path: St Anthony to Portloe trail is a breathtaking adventure along the coast that is perfectly suitable for a fun day on the trails whether you are just looking to complete this portion, or are attempting to complete the entire South West Coast Path. Stunning views of rocky cliffs, lazy seals, and the blue expanse of the ocean await on this awesome adventure.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will initially make your way to the west, before turning south to round the scenic location of St Anthony Head. Here, the trail will turn to the northeast and take you along the undulating landscape of the Cornish coast, as you pass by beautiful sandy beaches like Porthcurnik, Porthbean, and the Carne and Pendower Beach.
Continuing along the trail, you will traverse the Roseland Heritage Coast and climb uphill to the southeast to a viewpoint atop the cliffs. After taking in the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, follow the trail as it turns once again to the northeast, passing by Kiberick Cove on the way into Portloe to finish off the walk.
