Route Description for South West Coast Path: Pentireglaze to Padstow
While not totally easy, the Pentireglaze to Padstow portion of the South West Coast Path is one of the less challenging parts thanks to a shorter overall distance and little in the way of elevation gain. What you will experience along this route is more of the same spectacular seaside views that can be found elsewhere along the South West Coast Path. Even though it may be shorter, don’t forget sturdy walking boots in order to better traverse the rugged portions of trail.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the west in order to round the wonderfully scenic Pentire Point, before turning south to continue along the coast towards several charming villages. Here, you will make your way through the coastal areas within Polzeath and Trebetherick, keeping along the water’s edge as you pass beautiful sandy beaches and arrive in Rock. After exploring this lovely seaside village, you will take the ferry across the River Camel to reach the end point of the walk in Padstow.
