Featuring stunning views that stretch out from the picturesque Cornish coast and into the waters of St Austell Bay, the South West Coast Path: Mevagissey to Fowey is a beautifully scenic walking route to try out if you have been searching for a lengthy trail in the area. Walkers should take note that this is a full day adventure, so come prepared with proper footwear and plenty of supplies, such as food and water.
Setting out from the trailhead in Mevagissey, you will leave the town behind and head north along the coast, passing by Pentewan Sands to climb uphill around a point with beautiful views of the bay. From here, you will continue along the coast to pass by the seaside areas of Charlestown and Carlyon Bay, following the trail as it bends towards the east to work past a number of other scenic beaches. After passing by Par Sands beach, the route will turn to the southeast to traverse the rugged terrain along Gribbin Head, passing by the scenic location of Polridmouth Cove on the final leg of the walk into Fowey.

To reach the South West Coast Path: Mevagissey to Fowey trailhead from St Austell, drive south on Pentewan Road for 4.3mi and turn left to Continue on for 0.3mi. Continue straight through the roundabout onto Cliff Road and follow it for 0.4mi, before turning left onto Beach Road. You will arrive at the trailhead in 250ft.Route Information
