Route Description for Port Quin to Lundy Bay Trail
Featuring stunning views of coastal Cornwall, the Port Quin to Lundy Bay Trail is the perfect outdoor excursion if you want to experience the dramatic landscape of the coast but don’t have the time for a lengthy route. Alternatively, you can also spend a few nights along the trail by renting out the magnificent Doyden Castle, a one bedroom seaside fortification located right on the edge of a cliff!
Setting out from the car park, you will leave the quaint hamlet of Port Quin behind and head to the west, traversing the rugged terrain along the edge of the secluded cove to reach the site of the above mentioned Doyden Castle. If you aren’t planning on spending a few nights at this seaside retreat, continue on along the coastal path as it traverses the cliff tops above the Cornish Sea.
Eventually, you will arrive at the beautifully scenic terminus of this walking route, complete with some amazing views overlooking Lundy Bay. After taking some time to fully appreciate the majesty of the sea and the dramatic landscape that borders it, you will head back along the same trail to return to the car park in Port Quin.
