Trail Highlights
Port Isaac
Located along the coast of North Cornwall, Port Isaac is a charming seaside village that is most famously known as the filming location of the fictional village of Portwenn in the TV series Doc Martin. Historically, this small port thrived as a result of trading goods from inland regions, namely corn. With the rise in importance of the railway, Port Isaac’s role as a trade port began to decline and the village started to rely on fishing; however, this also began to decline and the main industry of the village is now tourism.
