Route Description for Polperro Harbour Walk
While it doesn’t offer much in the way of dramatic scenery or challenging terrain, the Polperro Harbour Walk is an excellent adventure geared towards those that want to spend the day in total relaxation while walking the quiet streets of the village of Polperro.
Setting out from the car park, you will male your way to the south along A387, passing through the forested coombe on the way into the village of Polperro. Once there, you will pass through the historic streets of the fishing settlement and keep right to explore the shops, restaurants, and waterside areas along the south bank of the River Pol. The Blue Peter Inn, located near Polperro Beach, is a great place to pop in for some mid-walk food and drink.
After retracing your steps into the village, make your way to The Warren in order to explore the north bank of the River Pol. Here, you will pass by the Polperro Heritage Museum of Smuggling and Fishing, while enjoying some nice views of the harbour. From this point, you can take some time to further explore the village, or simply head back to the car park along the same route that you followed in.
