Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way along the road to the southwest and pick up the footpath branching off to your right. Here, you will enter into the dense cover of the forest to explore the peaceful atmosphere of Kennal Vale.
After crossing the small bridge that spans the River Kennall, you will be able to explore the old ruined buildings that serve as remnants of Cornwall’s industrial past, when this area used to produce gunpowder. Once you have explored the charming riverside setting, you will retrace your steps along the trail to return to the trailhead where you began.
