Route Description for Gunwalloe Coves Circular Walk
Walking the Gunwalloe Coves Circular Trail is a fantastic outdoor excursion that is popular with beginner and seasoned walkers alike, as it offers a nice mixture of coastal terrain and wonderful views of the sea. Walkers should take note that the return portion of the journey does follow along a roadway, so be sure to exercise caution if you are travelling with children or dogs and keep an eye out for passing vehicles.
Setting out from the car park, you will make your way to the northwest to descend the hillside next to The Loe, which is a large freshwater lake located near to the coast. After arriving at the sandy expanse of The Loe Bar, you will turn to the southeast and make your way along the rugged, yet beautiful terrain of the coast.
After climbing uphill along the cliffs, you will enjoy some beautiful views overlooking several secluded coves as you work around Pedngwinian Point. Once you have met up with the road, you will turn left and follow it to the northwest, taking in the scenic views of the surrounding farmland as you make your way back to the car park where you began.
