Route Description for Sand Creek Trail
Get outside and enjoy the beauty of Colorado Springs as you venture the Sand Creek Trail. Though located in the city center, this urban nature walk will transport you away from the busyness of the city. As you wander along the meadow-cloaked trail along the babbling creek, you will be granted commanding sights of the Front Range peaks that line the horizon. Perfect for a lunch hour getaway of after-work does of fresh air; this easy-going trail provides the perfect excuse to get outside.
Your adventure along the Sand Creek Trail begins from the trailhead off Instone Circle. From here, the Sand Creek Trail will guide you north through the meadowlands that line the gurgling creek. This wonderful trail will grant you sights of the charming neighborhoods, schools, and parks in a corridor between suburbia. As you wander, you will likely be in the company of fellow active adventurers enjoying this well-maintained, level pathway.
Eventually, you will cross under the Dublin Boulevard Bridge, reaching your turnaround point. If you still have some gas left in the tank, then feel free to explore further. If not, head back, retracing your steps along the terrain back to the trailhead.
