Route Description for Palmer Trail to Siamese Twins

The Palmer Trail to Siamese Twins is an easy-going, family-friendly adventure in the Garden of the Gods. This stunning out and back route is short, sweet, and stunning. Revel in views of the red sandstone blade, bluffs, and spires that jut from the landscape. Due to the area’s beauty and accessibility, this trek is a crowd-favorite, so expect to share the trail with fellow explorers. To beat the rush and secure a parking spot, head out in the early morning!

Your journey along the Palmer Trail to Siamese Twins begins from the Palmer Trailhead off Garden of the Gods Road. From here, take the leftmost Palmer Trail south. This route will guide you through sparse mixed pine forests. As you venture along the path, you will be granted sights of the Front Range peaks that line the horizon through the tree breaks.

Soon the Palmer Trail will guide you to the Siamese Twins. The giant red rock sculptures will take your breath away. Explore the twins, and be sure to take the quintessential picture between the two spires. Revel in the grandeur of the rocks and when you are ready, retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
