Route Description for Short Coombe Hill Loop

The Short Coombe Hill Loop is a popular family-friendly walk in the Chilterns, making it tough to grab a parking spot on weekends. Be sure to head here early if you want to find a spot! It can also get muddy after rain, so come prepared with the right shoes.

Families with young kids and dogs will love this walk! It’s short, to the point, and takes you to charming views of the countryside sprawled below.

This walk starts in a counterclockwise direction! You’ll continue straight for about 600 m before veering right at the junction. Walk along this path for about 600 m, taking a left, followed by another quick left less than 50m later. You’re now at the top of the loop. Walk towards a Bacombe info sign. And continue to follow the path until you reach the top of Coombe Hill. After admiring the views, start making your way back around the loop towards the parking lot.
