Route Description for Royal Oak, Marlow Common and Homefield Wood Walk
The Royal Oak, Marlow Common and Homefield Wood Walk starts and ends at the Royal Oak pub, where excellent hospitality awaits! Look out for red kites floating above you as you sip your drink. Between beginning and ending at this pub, you’ll traverse a lovely trail that winds through woodland, farmland, and stunning countryside scenery. Expect some undulations, which will get your heart pumping. En route, you’ll negotiate some stiles and kissing gates! The gaps in fences should allow your pups to get through though without any problems.
This route is a lollipop walk, meaning you’ll follow a short path, which you’ll also take when you come back, before starting the circuit portion of this walk. Just under 1.0 km from the pub, you’ll veer right to start the loop, passing Marlow Common, sections of the Chiltern Way, Homefield Wood, Pullingshill Wood, Davenport Wood before returning to the path that leads back to the pub.
