The Upper Muley Twist Canyon Trail is a beautiful, challenging hike over diverse desert terrain. The trailhead for this route can only be accessed with a high-clearance, 4WD vehicle. If you only have access to a 2WD and/or low-clearance car, there is an earlier parking area where you can leave your vehicle and hike or bike to the official start of the trail.
