Route Description for Fremont Gorge Trail
The Fremont Gorge trail is a fantastic hike to a stunning viewpoint overlooking the Fremont River. This hike is a steady climb, so come prepared with proper, supportive footwear. We recommend bringing along hiking poles for this route to aid in the ascent and to save your knees some strain on the way down.
Bring along lots of water on this hike and a tasty snack to enjoy at the top. You will also want to pack the camera for this one, the views from the Fremont Gorge overlook are absolutely breathtaking.
From the trailhead, follow the path southeast then take a hard right to hop on the trail and begin your climb. You will see a 4x4 trail join in on the right, just stay straight on ahead at this junction.
After a solid climb you will reach the Fremont Gorge Overlook. Take a well deserved rest at the top and soak in the GORGEous views of the Fremont river below before turning around and following the same path back down to the trailhead.
