The White Rim Overlook Trail is a fantastic, family-friendly hike with unparalleled views of Canyonlands National Park. This trail has very little shade, so wear a good sunhat, lather on the sunscreen, and bring lots of water along with you. Save this hike for a cooler day if possible!
If you are looking for a short, easy hike with unbeatable views—look no further. The White Rim Overlook trail gives hikers a 300-degree panoramic view of Canyonlands National Park. From the overlook, peer down into Monument Basin, gaze northeast to Gooseberry Canyon, and spy the La Sal Mountain Range way in the distance.
From the trailhead, follow the trail to a divide and then take the path on your right to head southeast. Continue down the cairn-marked trail for 1.3 km to the overlook.
Take a rest at the end of the route and soak in the incredible views of Canyonlands National Park before turning around and following the same path back to the trailhead.
