Route Description for Meall Chuaich Walk
For those visitors to Cairngorms National Park that walk to experience a bit of a leg burn accompanied by stunning views across the rugged landscape of the surrounding area, then the Meall Chuaich Walk will definitely meet all of your needs.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way east alongside a winding road that runs parallel to Allt Cuaich and takes you in the direction of your objective of the day, the summit of Meall Chuaich. After passing by the charming shores of Loch Cuaich, you will arrive at the base of the hill, which is a great place to pause before making the relatively steep ascent.
Continuing on to the northeast, you will climb up the rugged slopes of Meall Chuaich and gain a better perspective of the surrounding landscape, which will culminate in sweeping views from the summit. Once you have taken in the breathtaking scenery of Cairngorms NP, you will head back down the same trail on the return to your vehicle below.
