Route Description for Glen Clova, Mayar and Driesh Circular Walk
If you are up for a bit of challenging trail that can at times be steep, rocky, and narrow, then the Glen Clova, Maya, and Driesh Circular is the perfect route for you. Be sure to wear proper walking boots with good support, as you will need them in order to safely traverse the rugged landscape.
Setting out from the car park, you will make your way west along Jock’s Road and pass through G;en Doll Forest, before crossing over the banks of White Water. Here, you will begin climbing gradually uphill along the Corrie Fee Trail, before making the steep ascent to the Summit of Mayar for breathtaking views of the valley.
Continuing along the trail, you will head to the east along the mountaintop, climbing slightly further uphill to reach the summit of Driesh at 946m and enjoy even more spectacular views. After doing so, head back down towards Mayar, keeping right along the trail to follow it as it bends east for the final leg of the walk. Here, you will descend the mountainside and head through the valley, once again crossing over White Water before returning to the car park where you began.
