The rainforest-esque ecosystem will make you forget you find yourself in the foothills of Colorado’s Front Range. Immerse yourself in the wilderness and keep an eye out for wildlife camouflaged amongst the trees. If you have little ones or a pup with you, best to keep them near as moose abundant in this area. If you do encounter wildlife, be sure to give them plenty of space and do your best not to bother them. Some hikers choose to wear a bear bell as extra insurance to deter unwanted visitors.
