The Boulder Falls Hike is a wonderful, popular, adventure through a narrow canyon cleavage to the cascades. Nestled amongst towering cliffs you will feel small as you trek to the falls. The awesomeness of the falls is proven by the crowds it draws. The proximity to the city, the accessibility, and the short nature of this path attract outdoor enthusiasts of all sorts, so if you were expecting a sequestered experience, think again. The best time to go is in the early morning when crowds are thinner, so you won’t have to worry about finding a parking spot in the small lot. Though the path is dog-friendly, the terrain is rocky, and the route is narrow, so consider leaving your pup behind for this one! Additionally, if you hike in the winter months microspikes are a must! The narrow, rocky terrain will undoubtedly be incredibly slippery and grippers will help mitigate the chances of a fall.
