Route Description for Bonneville Hot Springs Hike
Treat yourself to a natural spa treatment in the Boise National Park. The Bonneville Hot Springs Hike is a short, easy-going adventure through a forest-bound meadow bisected by Warm Springs Creek. This pleasant trail boasts the opportunity to soak in the warm pools along the streamlet or in the tub sheltered by a hut above the springs. Note that the bugs are relentless in this area, so bug repellent is a must! Don’t forget your swimsuit and towel, and cash for the parking fee!
Embark on your journey to the Bonneville Hot Springs from the trailhead off the Bonneville Trailhead Road. Setting out from here, the well-worn path travels northward through the lush creek canyon. Meandering through the grasslands adorned with wildflowers and granite outcrops, you will notice the creek gurgling on your right.
After some hiking, you will reach the hot springs. Take a soak in the steaming pools along the lazy-moving creek and revel in the scenes of the surrounding wilderness. When you are through enjoying Mother Nature’s hot tub, head back the way you came to the trailhead.
