Route Description for Rundle Riverside Trail
The Rundle Riverside trail begins at the back of the Banff Springs Golf Course at the edge of the Bow River. The trail is very easy to follow and does not involve any technical terrain. It rises gradually by gaining and losing elevation consistently throughout the trail.
The trail follows the river the entire way, offering excellent views of surrounding peaks while following the grand Rundle range. At the end of the trail, you will find yourself thrown into the extensive trail system at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Follow signs to the main parking area. You can either shuttle vehicles for this trail, or you can follow a trail into downtown Canmore and take Roam Transit back to Banff.
Getting to the Rundle Riverside Trail Trailhead
From the Town of Banff, cross the Bow River Bridge and turn left onto Spray Ave. Continue straight and take another left onto River Ave, making your way to the Bow Falls viewpoint.
