Route Description for Fairview Lookout
From the parking lot, make your way to the lakeshore to take in the views of Lake Louise before making your way up to the Fairview Lookout. You’ll see Mount Fairview rising high above the lake on your left. Hike to the left of the lakeshore towards the canoe docks and quickly join a trail signed for Saddleback, Fairview, and Fairview Lookout.
Take this trail for 400 m before coming to a junction that leads to Fairview Lookout on the left. The trail on the right heads high up to Saddleback Pass and its surrounding peaks. Follow the Fairview Lookout trail for 1km from the junction, where you will come to an incredible viewing platform. Take in the otherworldly turquoise colours of the lake below from the lookout. When you are satisfied with your sightseeing opportunity, turn back and return to the lakeshore the way you came.
