Route Description for Mount Wilson Trail to Bailey Canyon Loop
For those adventurers who really want to break a sweat and earn some rewarding views, the Mount Wilson Trail to Bailey Canyon Loop is a fantastic, albeit challenging, route to explore.
Setting out from the trailhead, you will follow the road north for a short distance, before branching off to the left along the Mount Wilson Trail. Here, you will begin climbing up into the mountainous terrain just outside of Sierra Madre, where you will gain an amazing sightline over the surrounding landscape.
Eventually, the trail will bend to the south towards the summit of Jones Peak, before descending a series of switchbacks to the southwest. From here, you will descend the mountainside towards the city, eventually following W Carter Ave east until you arrive back at the trailhead where you began.
